well i pulled on my travelling shoes don't need no-one's permission to sing these blues see these old wheels they turn around & take me to the leaving side of town road winds on to some place new sun sets in the west & slips from view rear view mirror i can see headlights on horizon following me & i lost them beyond the ragged hills but forty-five miles later they're back on my heels road winds on... so i pulled in some place down the line pulled right over at the neon sign service station which never sleeps & i sped on over the moorland heath road winds on... shake these blues child gotta shake these blues.
3.
twilight 04:00
moving into twilight somewhere between dreaming somewhere between waking somewhere between sleeping consciousness retreating catch me now i'm falling moving into twilight somewhere between dreaming consciousness retreating catch me now i'm falling under-ocean roaring endless is the sea boundless, flowing free moving into twilight...
4.
radio blues 02:52
daylight plays as in the past beneath the curtains as morning starts but i can't forget & i can't move on despite travelling clocks & radio songs the clouds pass by, the sky remains unchanged the same, yet all things change & i can't forget & i can't move on despite ticking clocks & radio songs you've gone, you've gone...
5.
grey lady grey with your finery & winning ways grey lady grey may i humbly visit you today? so elegantly wasted crumbling tower, winding staircase, lady grey grey lady grey will you have me come around this day? i'd fain lady grey, not to have you send me quite away i trace the vacant spaces empty places, home now to the lady grey there stands the spectral captain with his antique fife & drum so grey lady grey with your silk & satin braid grey lady grey may i humbly visit you today so elegantly wasted ... here comes the righteous cohort pure in spirit every one still stands the spectral captain with his antique fife and drum yet stands the spectral captain...

driving west 03:52
& the moon will rise above the city skyline tonight & the sun will set in a blaze of gold & crimson light silver star shine in pale blue evening twilight sunset glow driving west where the high road goes - where it goes & the moon will shine like a silver coin in the starry sky & a door opens wide on a threshold broad sails the moon & flies sun & moon & lady so true evening twilight sunset glow driving west where the high road goes & the moon will rise over the city streets tonight & the moon will rise over the harbour quay-side lights over the ceaseless tide.

enter to another world not far away enter your mind portal to another world opens you'll find enter to another world... doorway at the dawn of dreams butterfly wing entering in sound is the key that turns within vision begins enter within doorway at the dawn of dreams butterfly wing fluttering in, flutter right in.
8.
morning star beside the moon before the sun rose into view dark storm clouds pass the skies blown clear the wind will drop & stars appear bright venus pierced the twilight scene a silver ray dispels this dream.
9.
waiting here now for the train waiting here now for the train oh my lord it starts to rain waiting here now for the train never come this way again in the freezing rain why'd you have to treat me so? why'd you have to treat me so? oh my lord the wind blows cold why'd you have to treat me so? waiting for a diesel train in the freezing rain there's a bird far out at sea & the sun is sinking down there's a bird far out at sea & the sun is sinking down come on sea-bird set me free take me from this rainswept town.

strange are the ways of a man i know swift are the hours that nightly show the way to the morn the pale early light creeps on & on weird are the ways of this figure seen glimpsed between times grey flickering like some half forgotten image in a photo album you can't recall can't recall bright is the morning, beyond the day throw curtains now wide & greet dancing light through trees like freeze-frames swift shadows dart play like forms without names without form.
11.
summer rain 02:24
gathering storm yet out to sea where mounting cloud drifts tower-free shoreline strewn with debris sighs a trail of footsteps erased by tide & all that's really left to say is down the pane pours summer rain small boats swift hurry back to port escape the wrath of summer storms the sky was rent quite clear in two by silver lightning the tempest grew but all that's really left to say... but i just can't get through to say that the storm has washed all trace away - it has washed all trace away.
12.
cursus 04:54
there's a shaman standing on the ancient cursus gazing to the sun setting in the southwest there's a wraith-like form on a distant barrow there since time & tide so bless the field & harrow once they blessed the field, the morrow oxen plough & harrow now they rend the field, the meadow rooks disperse upon the morrow.
